Obituary


Worcester – Kenneth H. Ahlberg, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Sterling Village. His wife of 56 years, Norma M. (Gustavson) Ahlberg, predeceased him. He leaves his daughter Lynne Ahlberg Boyd and her husband David Boyd of Jefferson; 2 grandsons, Ronnie Kupfer and Kristopher Dufault; six great-grandchildren, Kyrsten DuBois, Kadin Dufault, Jason, Johnathan, Travis and Aubriana Pensinger; a sister Christine Peterson of Holden; a niece Wendy Rand and 2 nephews John and Keith Peterson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kirsten I. Ahlberg, and a grandson Jason Kupfer.

Ken was born in Worcester, son of the late Philip and Ulla (Hord) Ahlberg. He proudly served his country as a medic in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked in the paint department at the former Norton Company for many years. He was a member of the Greendale Retired Men’s Club, the Worcester Swedish Folk Dance Club, Vasa Order of America, Nordic Lodge #611 and a life member of the Scandinavian Athletic Club, where he met his beloved wife Norma.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 with calling hours from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral at 1 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605.
