Obituary

James B. Haddock, 74, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 13 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the widower of the late Gail (LaBonte) Haddock who passed away in 2020 after 46 years of marriage.

He was born on November 25, 1950 in Brighton, a son of the late Harry B. Haddock and the late Leta (Wood) Haddock. He was raised and educated in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the class of 1968. He was a pitcher for the Redmen during his time in high school. He furthered his education with an associates degree from Northern Essex Community College. He served his country for a number of years with the United States Army Reserves.

His working career was spent in the insurance industry with Metropolitan Life and Sun Life Financial. He retired in 2011 after over 40 years of service.

Jim loved watching sports and always supported the New England teams. He was a great guy who made fast friends in any situation. He was a fun loving individual and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Haddock of Dorchester, a sister, Linda L. Lecuyer of Andover and his grandson, Brady James Haddock..

He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and other family.
