Susan Mary (Mason ) Fulton, 76, of Franklin, died December 14, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, with her family by her side following a long illness.
Born in Milford on June 9, 1948, the daughter of the late Ralph and Shirley Mason, Susan was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Susan started working for GTE Sylvania in Hillsborough, NH and eventually worked for the same company in Westboro, MA. Eventually, switching her career and began working for Putnam Investments, where she stayed until she retired in 2020.
She enjoyed the love of her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter and getting new pajamas. She always said, “Nothing felt better than getting into bed with clean sheets and new pajamas to give you a good night's sleep. Susan always made people laugh with her funny personality and quick wit. During covid, she would often quiz her friends where she lived and what she wore the day before to see if anyone remembered because they had been in quarantine for so long, and she wanted to make sure they noticed her. Susan loved socializing with her many friends, getting together for lunch, and almost always being up for a good card game. Mostly, she loved family vacations and creating wonderful memories that would last a lifetime.
Susan is survived by her daughter Kimberley M. Lowther and her husband William of Mendon, her three Grandsons, William L. Lowther Jr. and his wife, Caty of Mendon. Brian R. Lowther and his wife Lydia of Uxbridge. Logan G. Fulton of New Bern, NC., and her two great-grandsons, William L Lowther III and Cameron A Lowther.
She was the mother of the late Robert F. Fulton III of New Bern, NC.
She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Wheeler; her husband, Bob; her brother, Scott Mason; and his wife, Tina Powderly, all from Franklin. Susan was also blessed with several nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved dearly.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19th, in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin ginleyfuneralhomes.com 131 Main Street, Franklin at 4:00p.m.
Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be Thursday, December 19th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
