Obituary

Robert G. "Bobby" Clough, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. He was 64 years of age.

Bobby was born in Somerville on September 30, 1960, a son of the late James E. Clough and Catherine (O'Rourke) Clough. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1978. Bobby worked as a Senior Transportation Broker for the Allen Lund Company in Wakefield for over 20 years and for the C.H. Robinson Trucking Company for 10 years. He enjoyed watching Seinfeld, playing Keeno and the lottery. He was a member of the Halligan Club and the Somerville City Club.

Bobby is the beloved husband of 30 years to Catherine T. O'Brien. He is the loving father of James R. Clough and his wife Kaila, and Michael C. Clough and his girlfriend Makayla. He is the devoted Grandpa of James Robert. He is the dear brother of Eddie Clough and his wife Kathy, Jackie Clough and his wife Sue, Annmarie Gill and her husband Jimmy, Judy Burton and her husband Joe, Kathleen O'Rourke, and the late James Clough and Joe Clough. He is the brother-in-law of Marty O’Brien Jr. and his wife Lila Mellen, Roy O’Brien and his wife Sherry, Tommy O’Brien, Danny O’Brien and his wife Joan, Pauline O’Brien and her companion Louie Nadeau, AnnMarie Kelly and her husband Kevin, Michelle O'Brien, Paul O’Brien, and the late James O'Brien. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bobby's Funeral on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private. His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
