Donald C. Perry, age 70, of Raynham, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the devoted husband of Catherine M. (Mileski) Perry. They were married for forty-six years.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Donald F. and Dorothy (Cormier) Perry.
He resided in Raynham for the past twenty-three years and previously lived in North Easton.
Prior to retirement, Don worked as an air cargo clerk for the United States Postal Service at the Brockton Post Office Branch for twenty-nine years.
An avid coin collector, he enjoyed creating the perfect Christmas display, maintaining a perfect lawn, going to amusement parks and Las Vegas. In addition, he also liked to play online games and challenge his family with riddles.
Don was passionate about his loving family, especially his grandchildren. He often told “Dad” jokes, which more recently became known as “Grampy” jokes.
In addition to his wife Cathy, he leaves his two daughters, Renee Gillespie of Raynham and Laura Gouthro also of Raynham; a sister Janice Greenfield of Derry, NH; his grandchildren, Alison Gillespie, Connor Gillespie, Zachary Gouthro, and Alexander Gouthro; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will follow in Northville Cemetery, Oak Street, East Bridgewater.
