Marvin Carlson
January 26, 1931-December 12, 2024

Today, December 12, 2024, Marvin Carlson, our Dad, flew over the rainbow to meet God. God has work for him to do. Mom has been waiting , too.

He was born January 26, 1931 in Ironwood, Michigan. He resided in Anderson most of his life.

He graduated from Anderson High School in 1949. He served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He received a medal for above and beyond the call of duty.

He retired in 1987 from his job as a draftsman at Delco Remy Plant 18. He shared a patent for one of his designs. He liked to tell the story of his co-worker giving him the name, "Nivram Noslrac" He could fix anything and build anything. He enjoyed golfing with his brother, Chuck, attending AHS ballgames with his baby brother, Paul, fishing and shenanigans in Phelps, Wisconsin with his brothers and cousins.

In his later years, he enjoyed passing out round to its everywhere he went. He made a friend everywhere. He especially enjoyed shopping at Aldi and Dollar Tree. He would say "never omit a $1 tree". He enjoyed Knights of Columbus rummage sale every year and the APL book sales. He went wherever his daughters went and that's what he loved. He enjoyed mowing the grass, word search puzzles, collecting Avon bottles and coins.

His favorite T.V. shows were, Rifleman, Big Valley, Gunsmoke, the Good Doctor, NCIS and Law and Order.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Carlson and Kathy Carlson. We love you Daddy.

Preceded him in death was his loving wife, Phyllis, his parents, Thury and Alma (Honkala) Carlson and three brothers, Paul, John and Chuck.
