CHICOPEE – Lorraine Bernice (Boisvert) Justice, “LBJ-42”, 82, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, December 7, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Agawam West Rehabilitation surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving nieces, Michele and Carol-Ann. She was born at home on Granby Road in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on March 18, 1942, a beloved daughter of the late Napoleon C. and Cora (Provost) Boisvert. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from the former Precious Blood High School in Holyoke and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Lorraine worked many places over the years. She was employed at the former A.G. Spalding Company in Willimansett, the former Hillard Fudge Company, and later was a bookkeeper and office worker at the former Lilly Enterprises in Westfield. She was the owner and operator of the former Mailroom on Grattan Street in Aldenville and worked for many years in the Better Living Center at the BIG E in West Springfield where she sold cosmetics and lipstick. She was also the well known “Avon Lady” for over 30 years in the Chicopee area. Active in her Catholic faith, she was a communicant at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She served her parish as a Eucharistic Minister, a CCD teacher for 32 years and volunteered at the weekly Bingo game. For her dedicated service, she was the recipient of the Pope Pius X Award. During her leisure time, she was a member of the Redcliffe Canoe Club in South Hadley and a former coordinator for the Chic-Mates Square Dancing Club in Chicopee. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 44 years, James D. Justice; her three loving sons, Scott A. Justice, Patrick S. Justice and Stephen M. Justice; and her loving sister, Shirley M. (Boisvert) Picard. She leaves her loving son, Michael A. Justice and his wife, Ann; her seven cherished grandchildren, Jessica and her fiancé, Joseph, Katelyn, Ashley, Rowan, Kristine, Jason and his partner, Todd, and Jared and his partner, Kevin; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Autumn and Donald; her loving sister, Joyce C.A. Boisvert; her special cherished nieces and nephew, Michele M. St. Germain, Carol-Ann McCarthy and her husband, James, and Robert H. Picard, Jr. and his wife, Debra; her dear sister-in-law, Betty Joyce Eller; and her dear brother-in-law, Jerry Justice. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her funeral Mass will follow the visiting hours at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
