Margaret T. Domenici, a longtime Woburn resident passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Winchester Hospital. She was 87. "Peg" as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was the beloved wife of the late Alfred X. "Freddie" Domenici. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Margaret (Broussard) Murphy.
Peg was raised and educated in Cambridge and following her marriage to Freddie, they settled in Woburn. Sadly, at the age of 37 Peg's husband died leaving her widowed for the last fifty years. She was a strong hard working independent woman raising her 4 children on her own. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, attending bingo and camping for many years in Maine with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family, and nothing made her happier than spending time with her children and especially her adored grandchildren. She will fondly be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to those she cherished.
Peg is survived by her children, John Colella and his wife Nancy of North Reading, Fred Domenici and his wife Jill, Michael Domenici, and Carla Domenici all of Woburn. She was the loving grandmother of Jessica and Justina Colella, Leia Arena and her husband John, Robbie Domenici and his wife Becca, Max and Nicholas Domenici, Alyssa Domenici and her partner Eddie Conley, Samantha "Sammi" Bell, and the late Joey Domenici. Loving great grandmother of Braydon, Caleb, Nolan, Domenic, Josephine and Greyson. Sister of the late Carlton and Evelyn Murphy, Richard and Marcy Murphy. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
