Wenter Elie Stuppard of Cambridge, MA passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at the Cambridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on December 2, 2024.
Wenter Stuppard was born on July 30, 1933, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Mr. Destine Stuppard and Mrs. Emerance Stuppard (Dennis). Wenter was the 7th of 12 children. He completed his academic and professional studies in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 1982 Wenter immigrated to the United States of America. He lived and worked in Cambridge until his passing.
Although Wenter was a quiet man, he was a great storyteller. He loved to be in the company of the ones he loved. Wenter loved spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor. He was a man of character, a Christian. He was a faithful member of the Temple Salem SDA Church, where he served as ordained deacon for many years. Wenter was a great singer, and a skilled cook. One his favorite hymn was "How Great Thou Art".
Wenter was predeceased in death by his parents, Destine and Emerance Stuppard, his wife, Raymonde Stuppard, his son, James Stuppard, and his siblings, Marthe, Therese, Camille, Rose-Amelie, Destine Jr., Gertrude, and Frederic Stuppard.
Wenter is survived by his daughter, Daphne Stuppard, granddaughter, Alisha Simon, his siblings, Charles Stuppard, Eleonor Stuppard Sanon (Andreus), Wilfrid Stuppard (Tervilia), and Claudette Stuppard Bernard (Dr. Jacob), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
