
John Pontremoli, passed away at the Marian Manor Nursing Home in South Boston after a lengthy illness, he was eighty years old.
Born and educated in Boston he was the son of the late Albina (Solari) and Daniel Pontremoli.
A life long resident of the North End, John retired in 1987 from the Federal Court System where he worked for many years in the maintainance department. John was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving in Pacific Theater during World War II., and a member of the Ausonia Council, Knights of Columbus, of Boston.
He was predeceased in death by his two brothers Louis Pontremoli and Edward Pons.
Surviving are his brother Joseph Pontremoli of South Boston and his sister Mary Bottari of Medford, also many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Friday August 30, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
