Obituary

Edmond Andre Loyer was born in Corail Aquin, Haiti, to Occius and Mernolia Loyer on September 12, 1935. He completed his schooling in Haiti and married Solanges Louis-Jeune Loyer on, January 21, 1967, in Port Au Prince, Haiti. He worked as a City Worker for the City of Medford for over 20 years. He was a beloved Deacon and one of the founding members of the First Haitian Baptist Church of Boston; and served there until he could physically no longer attend. He has received awards of appreciation for his dedicated service to the First Haitian Baptist Church of Boston during his tenure there.

Edmond loved to sing, read his Bible, and tell people about the goodness of God. He was a provider and protector for his family. He was also a strong, independent, determined, charitable man and loyal friend.

Edmond gracefully transitioned on November 30, 2024, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren at the home of his daughter and Son-In-Law, Nadine Loyer Beras and Bishop Edwin Manuel Beras.

Edmond is preceded in death by his: Mother - Mernolia Eugene Loyer, Father - Occius Andre Loyer, Brothers - Navius, Merelus, Vildor, Villavoir; and Sisters - Oramene & Oralia.

Edmond is survived by his wife - Solanges Loyer, his children Paul Loyer, Phoebe Loyer Graham (Charles Graham), Edmond Loyer Jr. aka Mondy (Sandra Loyer), Nadine Loyer Beras (Bishop Edwin Manuel Beras), and Danielle Loyer; his brother - Phedor Loyer (Marie Lourdes Loyer) and his sister Merilia Loyer Brutus; his grandchildren - Felishia Avola-Loyer, Alan Correa-Loyer, Jair Loyer, Ayden Viera-Loyer, Isaiah Thomas, Elijah Beras, Israel Beras, Jeremiah Beras, D’yanna Pyram-Carter, Nathanael Loyer and great-grandchildren - Kaiden Correa and Alijah Correa; as well as countless Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.

Our family is appreciative of the love expressed towards us and would like to thank everyone for their constant support during this difficult time of grief.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family in the First Haitian Baptist Church of Boston, 397 Blue Hill Ave, Boston, MA, on Saturday, December 14, from 8-9AM, followed by funeral service in the church beginning at 9AM.

Services will conclude with burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
