Mary E. (Penney) Arsenault
Mary E. (Penney) Arsenault, 85, passed away after a period of declining health at Lowell General Hospital on Friday, December 6. She was the widow of the late Clifford E. “Chuck” Arsenault who passed away in 1984.
Mary was born on November 8, 1939, in Lowell, MA, a daughter of the late Lyman Penney and the late Marguerite (Decker) Penney. She was raised and educated in Tewksbury and was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1957.
She worked for many years at Shamrock Liquors in Wilmington before her career with Wang Laboratories where she worked as an assembler for over 25 years before her retirement. She has resided in Pelham, NH since 1990 where she enjoyed her retirement and spending time with her family.
Mary always had a green thumb, and she maintained a large and diverse garden when she resided in Tewksbury.
Mary was a longtime member of the Hudson, NH Senior Center where she enjoyed playing bingo, card games, and taking trips. In her younger days, she enjoyed riding her motorcycle. She also loved her Boston sports teams and enjoyed NASCAR. She was loving, kind and generous. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, James Arsenault of Pelham, her daughters, Cheryl A. Arsenault, Susan M. (Arsenault) Russell and her husband Robert Russell, Jr., and Margaret E. Arsenault all of Pelham, NH. Also, her grandchildren, Keith Russell, Jacob Russell, Robert Russell III, Kaitlyn (Russell) Dixon, Brittney (Arsenault) DelGreco along with their spouses and partners, and her great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Jacobs of Wolfeboro, NH and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Clifford, Sr., she was also predeceased by her son, the late Clifford E. “Chuckie” Arsenault, Jr., who passed away in 2003.

All are welcome to attend her visitation and funeral services. On Thursday, December 12, her visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876. On Friday, December 13, her funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. followed by procession to Tewksbury Cemetery.
