Worcester: Heather Johnson, 54, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. She leaves a son Dustin LaVenture; a daughter Allyson LaVenture and her boyfriend Marcus Ducharme; a sister Carrie Horn; her father Barry Johnson; and her step father Norman Collette. She was predeceased by her partner of over 30 years Christian P. “Chris” LaVenture, her son Christian J. “C.J.” LaVenture, her mother Judith Johnson, and her sister Heidi Johnson.
Heather was born in Worcester, daughter of Barry and Judith (Chartier) Johnson. She worked as a caregiver in the healthcare industry for many years, where she touched the lives of many. Outside of work, she enjoyed going to the beach, making jewelry, scrap booking, tie dying, and camping. She was active within Sober in the Sun, Inc as a strong advocate for people in recovery as she dealt with addiction herself. Heather was known for her warmth, generosity of spirit, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Calling hours and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605.
