Obituary

CORNISH- Patricia (Partlow) Dumont, 87, passed away on December 6 after a long period of declining health. She was born in Burlington, Vt. on August 14, 1937, the daughter of Kenneth Partlow and Irene Gouger. She graduated from St. Michael's High School in Brattleboro, Vt. in 1955. She had a been a resident of Pine Point Nursing Center in Scarborough, ME. for the past five years.

Patricia was employed by the former American Optical plant in Brattleboro for many years. Her marriage to Anthony F. Manch ended in divorce in 1973. Patricia then married Dennis Dumont after relocating to St. Petersburg in 1975. After moving to St. Petersburg, Fl. she worked for Jabil Circuits until her retirement in 2001. A talented artist, she enjoyed oil painting and sharing her works with her family and friends. In her free time, Patricia was a crossword puzzle enthusiast and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as her beloved chihuahua, Chico.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Andrew and Jon, and sister Mary. She is survived by her brother Stetson "Bobby" Blake and wife Carol of Barre Town, Vt. and by her four children: William Manch of St. Petersburg, David Manch of Shrewsbury, MA, Kimberly Hyatt of Cornish, ME, and Jon Dumont of Ladson, SC. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Anthony Manch and John Manch of St. Petersburg, Russell Hyatt of Cornish, ME, and Tommy, Matthew and Charlotte Dumont of Ladson, SC, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home in Cornish is in charge of arrangements. Although there is no formal service planned, a celebration of Patricia's life will be held at Sea Dog Brewing in South Portland on Friday at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland to honor Patricia's love of animals.
