Francis P. "Frank" Summa III, of Methuen, passed away peacefully December 2nd, 2024. Born in the North End, he was the son of the late Francis P. Summa II and late Josephine (Costa) Summa. He later moved to Methuen with his beloved wife where he happily raised his family for over 30 years.
Frank was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Amongst this, he was a wonderful friend. Frank was a huge foodie and if he wasn`t out Saturday nights with his wife and friends dining out, you could find him cooking Sunday dinners and enjoying time with his family. His friends and family were everything to him. Prior to his retirement, he enjoyed summer vacations with his wife at their favorite vacation spot in Maine, where they eventually continued these traditions throughout his retirement with close friends.
Frank was also a Veteran. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 21 years old and served in Vietnam.
Frank is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Linda (Tricone) Summa, and his beloved children Tanya Summa of Salem, NH, Predeceased by Frankie Summa IV, Anthony Summa and his wife Valarie Summa of Venice, Fl, Ashley (Summa) Nunez and her husband Christopher Nunez of Londonderry, NH, Michael Summa and his wife Davena Summa of Bradford, MA, Jimmy Summa and Steven Summa of Methuen, MA. He is further survived by his granddaughters, Kendra Jozokos of Salem, NH and Mila Summa of Venice, Fl and his sister Patricia (Summa) Forlizzi and her husband Peter of Medford, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Monica`s Church, 214 Lawrence St, Methuen, Tuesday, January 7th, at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend, followed by a mercy meal at Lenzie`s in Dracut, MA. Interment services will be private and held at a later date.
