Joan M. “Duchie” Moschella Huggett, of Medford, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 7th. She was 64. Born and raised in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Adamo and Joan (Havlin) Moschella.
Joan loved her family and would do anything for them. She was an amazing mother and Nana. Joan’s doors were always open to everyone, which earned her the title of “Everyone’s other Mother”. Joan enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her friends and family and all of her delicious meals were made from scratch. She will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to have met her.
Joan was the devoted mother of Jessica Huggett and Amanda Huggett, and the loving Nana of Juliana and Matty Soares. She was the dear sister of William Moschella, Joseph Moschella, Michael Moschella, Michelle Moschella and the late Adam Moschella. Joan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday, December 16th, at 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours on Sunday, December 15th, from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
