Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Jinright, 56, of Omega passed away Peacefully Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta surrounded by his loved ones. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 9th, 2024, at Leila Church in Omega, Ga with Pastor Josh Bennett officiating. A eulogy will be given by his dear friend, Ed Fussell.

Born on November 6th, 1968 in Tifton, Chuck was the son of the late Charles Sumner and Brenda May Miller. After graduating high school from Fitzgerald High in 1987, he joined the United States Navy and served our country proudly for 5 years. During this time, he created a life long bond with many of his “Navy brothers” as he called them. After he completed his time in the Navy, his father introduced him to the love of farming. While learning the ins and outs of farming, he attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Shortly after, he met the love of his life, Libby. He loved her with every ounce of his body and decided to marry her after 3 years of dating.

His love for farming still remained as he became partners with Libby’s father, Buddy Brogdon and opened up a business called Pineridge Angus Farms. They poured so much time and effort into making this a successful cattle business and later grocery store in Norman park, Ga. He was an all around hard working man.

Chuck was a wonderful Dad who spent as much time with his kids as possible. He truly was their hero. No matter what, he always stood by their side. His loving wife and children are going to miss his presence here on earth, but look forward to the day they get to rejoice with him in heaven.

His love for others showed by his actions, he never met a stranger. He was the epitome of what a true Christian man should be. In his free time, he enjoyed spreading the word of Jesus with his Christian gospel group, “The Revelators Quartet”. Loving, loyal, and compassionate were his three main characteristics.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Libby Brogdon Jinright of Omega; one son, Dayton Jinright and Kaci Cadwell of Omega; two daughters and son-in-laws, Mattie and Trent Johnson of Tifton and Rebecca and Justin Partain of Brookfield; his adopted father and his wife, Ted and Gail Jinright of Rochelle; his grandmother, Blanche May of Berlin; two aunts and their husbands, Janice and Steve Morton of Alabama and Iris and Steve Hargrove of Moultrie; Ron and Ann Miller of Fitzgerald; numerous cousins and special friends Zack Goldon of Tifton and Christian Sumner of Omega.
