Walter J. Dzieniszewski. 95, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Walter was born in Worcester and lived sixty-one years in Auburn. He graduated from the former Commerce High School. In 1948, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War and served four years as a Yeoman 3rd Class Petty Officer in the Engineering Department on the battleship US Mississippi EAG 128. He received a Good Conduct Medal while serving his country.
In 1953 Walter started working for the US Envelop Company. He was with them for 15 years, then started a twenty-one-year employment with National Envelop Company as the Inventory Control Manager.
Walter was the son of Joseph and Michalina Dzieniszewski. On June 20, 1953, he married his loving wife, Helen M. Kisten, who died of pancreatic cancer in August of 2007. Walter leaves his sister Theresa Baril of Worcester. He was predeceased by three brothers, Stephen Jeneski, Chester Dzieniszewski, and Adam Jeneski: three sisters, Genevieve Gray, Matilda Weymouth and Helen Sverdersky. Walter was proud to be the uncle of several nephews and nieces and always worked hard to set an example for others to follow.
The funeral will be held with a Mass from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. at 11:30 am Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home prior to Mass from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. www.worcesterfuneral.com
