Dolores Ann Carbone of Franklin MA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 4, 2024.
Dolores was born on February 9, 1937 in Iowa to Maxine Moitzfeld and Milton Aiken of Des Moines, Iowa.
Dolores was raised in many places due to her father’s military service. Her stop in Watertown, Mass started her 70-year journey with her husband Paul. She worked a few production jobs but her love was raising her family
Above all else, Dolores cherished the gift of time with her family. She loved nothing more than watching her grandchildren play sports, dance, enjoy the family holidays and her many pets and family fur-babies. She loved bowling, board games (which she would always let her kids win).
Dolores realized how important it was to enjoy every day and every moment. Even as her dementia progressed, Dolores would light up when her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come visit.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband Paul Carbone of Franklin, daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mark Banker of Oregon, Donna Carbone of Bellingham, MA; Terri Prairie of Franklin, MA; and sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jeanne Carbone of Franklin, MA; and Scott Carbone of Maine. Also surviving are her 15 grandchildren, and 12 (soon to be 13) great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral and visitation beginning 9am on Tuesday Dec. 10th in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in the St. Mary’s Church Franklin at 11AM.
Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Dolores’s family extend their heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation for the care, compassion, support, and assistance provided to Dolores over the past year by the Vantage Health and Rehab of Milford and the Old Colony Hospice and Palliative Care.
