Helen Wenger, 77, of Anderson passed away on December 4, 2024
She was born on January 24, 1947, the daughter of John and Martha Wagoner.
Helen graduated from Madison Heights High School, Manchester College and received a master's degree from Purdue University.
She was a home economics teacher and a church secretary. She was primarily a superb mother, grandmother, wife and church leader.
Her life centered on family and church. She was a church secretary and clerk at the Anderson Church of the Brethren for several decades. She was also a dedicated member of a Bible study fellowship group. Additionally, she was a district moderator and served on denominational boards, such as the church camp board. She was also a moderator at the Buck Creek congregation.
She enjoyed crafts, especially wire wrapping jewelry. She and John enjoyed traveling around the world. Their favorite destination, though, was Florida where she could be grandma.
She is survived by her devoted husband whom she married August 9, 1969, John Wenger; her children, Greg (Melissa Messenger) Wenger, Adam Wenger, Megan (Brett) Bultemeier; her siblings, John David (Betsy) Wagoner, and Colleen (Doug) Miller and her grandchildren, Keegan, and Moira Bultemeier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Wagoner and her grandson, Corwin John Bultemeier.
Private graveside services were conducted at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
The memorial will be held at the Anderson Church of the Brethren located at 741 N. Scatterfield Rd, Anderson, IN, 46012 on December 22nd. Visitation from noon to four with the service to follow.
