John J. Malloy, 65, of Medway, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, surrounded by family at Milford Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Jackson) Malloy since 1981.
Born on October 31, 1959, he was the son of the late Edward and Grace (Dumas) Malloy.
John had been a resident of Medway since 1994. He grew up in Natick, graduated from Natick High School in 1977, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Framingham State University.
John was the Service and Parts Director at Bristol Toyota in Swansea for many years. He spent 50+ years in the automotive industry with roles at Sears, Toyota Motors Company, and various dealerships.
He served as president of Medway Amateur Hockey Association and was very active in the program while his boys were playing.
John was also an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Boston Bruins.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ryan, his wife Patty and their son John “Jack” of Gaithersburg, MD, Keith and his wife Selina of Los Angeles, CA, and Patrick of Baltimore, MD.
He is also survived by his brother Edward Malloy of Ocala, FL and four sisters, Gail Ashdown of Whittier, CA, Eileen Button of Holden, Joyce Gillis of Natick, and Ann Malloy of Natick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Streer in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place privately at a later date.
