Obituary

Robert "Bob" Bryan, aged 68, passed away on December 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of sarcasm, sharp wit, and an undeniable flair for making everyone wonder, "Did he really just say that?" Bob’s humor was an art form—dark, dry, and delivered with the sort of precision that would make any stand-up comic take notes.

Born and raised in Boston, Bob was a proud electrician and union member with Local 103. Bob spent his career contributing to the growth and development of his city through his skilled craftsmanship. Known for his exceptional work ethic, Bob approached every project with dedication, earning the respect of his colleagues and employers alike. Over the years, he became a trusted mentor, always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge with apprentices entering the trade.

Bob leaves behind a family that will miss his irreplaceable presence. In his own way, he made the world a little more interesting, a little more honest, and far more entertaining. He is survived by his wife, Rita (West), his daughter, Katelyn (Bryan) LaTouf and her husband, Greg, his son, Stephen Bryan and his wife, Carolyn. He is survived by his siblings, Betty Lewis Bryan, Joan Bryan and her partner Dennis McElaney, Jack Bryan and his wife Marie, and Margaret Bryan. He also leaves behind two grandsons, William G. LaTouf, Jack B. LaTouf, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret (Nevins) Bryan and father, John F. Bryan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Waterfords Restaurant, 2 Bridge Street, Dedham, on Saturday, December 7th from 1-4pm, where family and friends are invited to honor his memory. The family requests that floral tributes be sent to Waterfords Restaurant.

He’ll be missed, but certainly never forgotten—especially by anyone who ever had the privilege of being on the receiving end of his humor.
