Filomena Barcelos Lima (81) of Fall River died December 1st in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She was the wife of Daniel Jose Antonio DaSilva Sousa Brito.
She was born in Guinea-Bissau, Africa, daughter of the late Jose Barcelos Lima and Alice Fortes Pimentel. Filomena was a retired Department Director in Human Resources industry in her home country of Cabo Verde. She was a communicant of Nossa Senhora Da Graca in Cabo Verde and enjoyed traveling, cooking, decorating the house and socializing with her close family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 daughters, Solita Brito of Cabo Verde and Antonieta Brito of Fall River, 2 sisters, Antonieta Barcelos Lima and Solita Barcelos both of Cabo Verde, 4 grandchildren, Tamyris Pereira of Boston, Daniel Fernandes of Fall River, Suila Rodrigues of Boston and Nadjely Fernandes of Fall River, 3 great grandchildren, Sofia Ullian, Priscilla Ullian and Aylah Nazarrio.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Monday December 9th from 5-8 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home Tuesday December 10th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
