HOLYOKE – Lawrence E. “Larry” Jodoin, 75, of Holyoke and a longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born in Holyoke on November 13, 1949, a beloved son of Harriet N. (Agrell) Jodoin of Chicopee and the late Leopold H. Jodoin. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and attended Springfield Technical Community College. He lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Holyoke around 1972 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a Master Mechanic and the Owner/Operator of Jodoin Motors in Granby, specializing in high performance vehicles. At the age of 24, while showering in his home, Larry survived being struck by lightning. He enjoyed working on antique cars, even enjoyed owning a few, loved boating and scuba diving, and took great pride having his pilot’s license. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Besides his loving mother, he leaves his sister, Christina Jodoin Kennedy and her husband, Michael, and other family members. His family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 12 noon at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (Please meet directly at the Church).
