Jadwiga Maria Motor of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1st surrounded by her loving family.
Jadwiga was born on December 27, 1943, in Blachownia, Poland to Alfons and Genowefa Rakocz. She was a high school Polish Language and Literature teacher, with a Master of Science degree, for 22 years before moving to the United States with her husband and children.
She and her family settled in Derry, NH in 1986. She was an avid reader and an incredible cook. She loved long walks along the beautiful NH trails and beaches. She loved the ocean and enjoyed many vacations in Florida and Maine over the years. Jadwiga fiercely loved her family and was an integral part of both her grandchildren’s lives from the moment they were born.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jozef Motor. She also leaves behind her son Tomasz Motor and daughter-in-law Kate of Barrington, NH, her daughter Anna Scott and her son-in-law Christian, as well as, her grandchildren Enzo and Zofia Scott of Auburn, NH.
An amazing wife, mother and Babcia, she was loved and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry from 5:00 – 6:30PM on Friday, December 6th with a brief service at 6:30 PM.
