Obituary

FALL RIVER - Roland Aguiar, 76, of 65 Oxford St., Fall River, died Friday at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Arlene (Felix) Aguiar. He is survived by Two Sons: Steven P. Aguiar and his wife Mary of Dartmouth, MA and Ronald J. Aguiar of Rutland, VT, Two Grandchildren: Jonathan & Kayla Aguiar, One Brother: Edward Aguiar of Fall River, MA, One Sister: Dorothy Castanho of Fall River, Aunt: Olive Castanho, Sister In-law: Barbara Moniz, and several nieces & nephews.


Born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel Aguiar and the late Louise(Cardoza) Aguiar. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring in 1998, he was a Supervisor of the Cutting Room at Rhondo Mfg. After retirement, he worked on the Facilites Staff at First Federal Savings Bank of America. He was a former member of the “Over The Hill Gang”. He was a U.S.Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from 1952-1960. He had rank of Lance Cpl. and served in Japan.
