Carol Manessa Jarrett was born on December the 8th 1939 to Lawrence Murray and Hilda Murray, the inventor of the famous hair care product Lady Hilda.
According to my research mom was born in Barbados on December the 8th 1939 and was brought over to Boston Mass on December the 9th 1939.
Ma always said "my favorite song is I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, because I've been through a lot and I have survived it all".
My mother was and still is a very beautiful woman, she has a heart of gold. She has opened her door to many people who were less fortunate and has given many a place to rest their heads when they had nowhere else to go.
Mom took me and my three boys in and later took me my three boys and my baby girl. She did this without a second thought. We lost touch for a while but when we reconnected it was as if we've been connected the whole time.
We didn't always see eye to eye, but we've always loved heart to heart. Mom gave me the strength I needed to be a better woman, a better person and a better mother.
Carol Jarrett leaves behind 3 daughters-
Cheryl King,Mary Williams and myself, MariahWilliams.
3 boys Jimmy L Jarrett Jr, Jerome L Jarrett and Saint Kevin Jarrett.
9 grandchildren Raynette Alden, Antonia Williams, David Williams,Theodore Simpson Jr, Edmond Simpson, Bryant Simpson, Amarii Steward, Latoya Godfrey, Keon Godfrey, Jerica Jarrett, Jerome Jarrett Jr., and Kevin Murray and a host of great grands and great-great-grands.
I didn't want to wait till it was too late to ask questions about my mom. So when I wrote this obituary I actually read it to her and she loved it. I wanted to hear straight from her mouth if I needed to add, subtract or change anything and she said everything was fine just as it is. And so I wrote this, just as it is.

A POEM FOR MA
Sorry Mom you had to go
You couldn't stay and this I know
I know you tried you did your best
But now it's time for you to rest
I miss you mom I always will
I Loved You Then I love you still
now you are free and safe from harm rest now child and God's loving arms
