Lorraine R. Devoe, 93, of Lawrence, Ma, passed away peacefully at Mary Immaculate Nursing home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Salem, MA on February 3 , 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ephrem and Clara Caron
Lorraine raised eight children and held several different jobs while her family was growing; however, her favorite and last employer was the City of Salem, where she was a bookkeeper in the finance department. Lorraine was known by all to be warm, welcoming, and loved to host family holidays . She was strong in her faith and a proud parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Salem.
Lorraine was past state president Emblem and current member of Billerica Emblem Club #410 and lifetime member Salem Club. For many years she loved traveling to different states for Emblem events. Lorraine loved sewing, especially quilting, making her grandchildren blankets.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Robert Devoe and her brothers Donald and Philip Caron,her son Stephan Devoe and son in law Alfred Abate . She is survived by her sister Irene McDougall of Georgia, Her daughters Vivian Abate, of Methuen, Cathy Doyon and her husband Bert of Hooksett, NH, Nancy Libby and her husband Bill of Danvers, and Michelle Ricci and her husband Tom of Groveland Her sons Paul and His wife Cindy of Wakefield, Robert and his wife Lois of Florida and Michael Devoe of Salem, NH . Grandchildren: Kerrie Abate, Anthony Abate, Jeff Abate, Andrea O’Connor, Robin Perron, Megan Libby, Suzanne Hachey, William LIbby, Michael Devoe, Keith Devoe, Jenna Devoe, Alex Devoe, Tony Ricci, Denise Doyon, Mark Doyon, Nicole and Danielle Devoe as well as 17 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem, to be followed by her burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
