David D. Conley, 91

David D. Conley, age 91, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Flaherty) Conley, to whom he was wed for sixty-six years at the time of her death on October 18, 2021.
Born in Norwood, MA on September 4, 1933, he was a loving son of the late Coleman J. and Frances K. (Flaherty) Conley.
Dave grew up and was educated in Norwood. He was a graduate of Boston Trade High School for Boys and attended Wentworth Institute. A resident of Mansfield for the past sixty-three years, Mr. Conley was the owner and proud operator of the former David D. Conley Electric in Mansfield. He also served the Town of Mansfield as a former Electrical Inspector.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and a devout Catholic, nothing made Dave happier than spending time with his adoring family and while his children were growing up, he was actively involved with Little League Baseball and Scouting. Dave loved spending time with his late wife Barbara on Martha’s Vineyard and along with his late good friend Connie Lajoie, owned cars which raced at Seekonk Speedway and to this day still hold track records.
He is survived by his devoted children, Joseph Conley and his wife Susie of California, Diane Conley Hinchey and her husband Michael of Mansfield and Jeffrey Conley of Mansfield. He was the cherished grandfather of Anna Perry, Megan Schilling, Jay Hinchey, Ryan Hinchey, Caitlin Conley and the great grandfather of Jackson Hinchey. He was the dear brother of late Robert Conley, Muriel Coyne, Evelyn Wood, Tish Vannini, Raymond Conley, William “Buddy” Conley and Gerald Conley. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14th at 11:30 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, David’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Hope Health Hospice, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
