Kimberly Hope Jewart, born October 2, 1978, in Seoul, Korea, died November 12, 2024, as a result of bile duct cancer. She is survived by her mother, Sally Jewart, of Springfield, Virginia; her father, Jim Jewart, of Worcester, Massachusetts, and his wife Ellen; her children, Fionn, 17, and Maelyn, 11; her brother, Eric Jewart, of Lincoln, Massachusetts, and his wife Melissa and their children Nate and Julia; and other aunts, uncles, cousins, stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
Kimberly's passion was dance. She studied ballet and modern dance from very early in life, attended Montgomery, Alabama's Magnet School for Performing Arts during her high school years, and majored in Performing Arts at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia. After several years on stage with New York City-based dance companies, including the New York City Ballet, she taught ballet and modern dance in the Springfield, Virginia area.
There will be a Committal Service for Kimberly at Rural Cemetery in Worcester on Friday, December 13, at 11 o'clock a.m. The meeting point will be in the Chapel just inside the entrance to Rural Cemetery. After a brief service in the Chapel, those in attendance will proceed to the Jewart family grave site in Rural Cemetery where Pastor Cliff Gerber will preside at the Committal Service.
