Joseph V. Kearney, age 72, of South Easton, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Champion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Walter V. and Marie C. (Bergeron) Kearney.
Joe worked as a security guard for Allied Universal Protection Service for several years after joining his family business, Intercity Transportation. At his family’s company, he worked on the dock, where the trucks enter and depart.
He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, being very intelligent, and for having a lot of friends.
Joseph was a skilled pianist and performed in a band. He also enjoyed building electronics.
Mr. Kearney is survived by his sister, Mary Anne Ross of North Easton; his nephew, Jonathan and wife, Joann, and his great nephew, Logan Ross of Salem; and a niece, Heather Ross and her husband, Matt Freake of Malden.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10:15 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 138) Brockton. Interment will follow in Coweeset Cemetery.
