FALL RIVER - Serafim “Trinta” Almeida, 69, of 48 Aetna St., Fall River, died Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Diamantina (De Costa) Almeida. He is survived by Two Sons: Manuel De Almeida of Somerset & Louie Almeida of Fall River, Four Daughters: Rosa Almeida, Maryana Carvalho, Maria Eduarda Pereira, & Alda Vital all of Fall River, One Sister: Irene Pacheco of Fall River, Twelve Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Domingos, Manuel, and David Almeida, Deolinda Correia, Luisa Almeida, Dioniza Paulino, Maria Fernanda Almeida, and Angel Almeida.
Born in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Manuel Almeida and the late Antonia (Massa) Almeida. He was a Fall River resident since 1970. Before retiring, he was a Laborer at the Local #610 union. He was a member of the Aetna Club in Fall River and a member of Santo Christo Church.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Monday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River, at 9:00 A.M. Internment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5-9 P.M.
