WEBSTER – Lillian G. Kerl Jackson, 9, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 28 after battling Batten disease for most of her life.
She leaves her parents, Andrew Duncan Jackson and Rebecca J. Kerl and a brother, Timothy J. Kerl, all of Webster; her paternal grandmother, Barbara G. (Taylor) Jackson of Summerville, SC; her maternal grandparents, Timothy C. Kerl and his wife Jennifer J. (Wood) Kerl of White River Junction, VT; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Leland E. “Lee” Jackson in 2023 and by her maternal aunt Allison W. Blackman in 2016.
Lillian was born on October 27, 2015 in Worcester and lived here all her life. She was currently a third-grade student at the SWCEC “Grow” program in Dudley. She loved to sing and dance and watch Disney movies especially “Frozen” and Moana.” Her favorite television show of all time was “Sofia the First.”
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Boston Children’s Hospital and the caregivers from Notre Dame Hospice. The support provided by the Oxford-Webster Pirates Youth Football League will always be remembered and cherished.
Services will be held privately. Donations in her name may be made to the Neurology Department at Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
