Obituary

Ronny J. Geissler of South Boston, MA passed away on November 23, 2024. He was pre-deceased by his late wife, Mary (McCarthy) Geissler, son Ronald Kelley, brother Robert Geissler and his wife Barbara of Oregon, grandsons Ronald Kelley Jr. and John Mortimer Jr., and granddaughter Kaitlyn Keaney. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years, June (Sullivan Keaney) Geissler, his children Margaret Lee and her husband Donald of Dorchester, Darlene Devlin and her husband Michael of Quincy, Michael and the late Kathleen Keaney, Joseph and Lisa Keaney, Patricia and Daniel Gillis - all of South Boston, Kathleen and Jack Loan of New Hampshire, Kelly Keaney of Quincy, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with many other beloved family members and his best friend, Pat Ronca and his wife Eileen.

Ronny was a proud son of South Boston, attended South Boston High School and was employed by the Boston Water and Sewer Commission for 32 years. After retiring, he enjoyed volunteering for Saint Vincent’s food pantry, and fishing and canoeing at his cottage on Governor’s Lake in Raymond, NH where he spent many wonderful summers with June and his cat, Minnie.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St. South Boston on Sunday, December 1st from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Monica's Church, South Boston, Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Neponset.
