Obituary

Clayton A. Reichenberg, Jr., age 80, of Brockton, died on November 21, 2024 at Boston Medical Center. Clay was the loving husband for 41 years of Susan A. (Foss) Reichenberg. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Clayton A. and Beatrice Reichenberg, Sr. Clay was raised in Taunton and Raynham and attended Apponequet Regional High School before enlisting in the Air Force. He served from 1961-1965 during Vietnam. For many years he worked in transportation as a dispatcher and retired as a professional Chauffeur.

Clay loved being the center of attention and loved to tell jokes and laugh with friends and family. He loved photography and singing and was a member of the Brockton Harmoneers. He was an officer of the Brockton Council on Aging and member of the Kingston Stamp Club. For many years, Clay was a motorcycle racer and starter for AAMRR.

In addition to his wife Sue, he is survived by two sisters Sharon Silvia of N. Carolina and Susan Putnam of Vermont, a brother Robert Reichenberg and his wife Cindy of Florida, two nephews Jayson and Justin Putnam and a niece Sasha Cole.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, on Tuesday, December 3, from 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:30am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial will be at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
