Carol J. Miller, 73, of Contillo Drive in Johnston, passed away on Tuesday November 26th at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Michael A. Miller.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (McKenna) McCaughey. She had lived in Johnston for over 40 years, previously living in Providence. She had been a very successful Real Estate Agent with Coldwell-Banker in Smithfield for many years before retiring. She was also a mentor with Living Innovations, providing housing and support for individuals with disabilities.
She loved spending time with her friends at the beach, specifically Galilee. She was a very supportive Nana to her grandchildren and loved attending their sporting events every chance she could.
She leaves her children, Marisa Enos and her husband Russell of Johnston, Matthew R. Miller of Washington, DC, and Alycia L. Miller of Providence. She was the sister of John M. “Jack” McCaughey and his wife Janice of Warwick and Joan Gilchrist of North Providence. She was the grandmother of Devon Atkinson, Kaylee Atkinson and Elliana Enos, all of Johnston. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joyce Pacheco.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday December 4th at 9:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Her burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Her visitation will be Wednesday December 4th from 8am to 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island.
