DUNSTABLE: Maureen F. (Flynn) Morris, age 65, a longtime resident of Dunstable, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Saturday, November 23, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer with family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of James W. Morris, with whom she celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on November 16, 2024.

Born in Syracuse, New York on January 6, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. Flynn and the late Joyce (Gareau) Flynn.

Maureen was raised in Syracuse, NY and in the Annapolis, MD area.

She attended Saint Matthews Grammar School in Syracuse and graduated from Severna Park High School in Severan Park, Maryland.

Following high school, Maureen attended Northeastern University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She worked as a supervisor at Sonoco Products and as a paralegal in the insurance industry for various companies including the MetLife Insurance Company.

Maureen enjoyed trading on eBay, stamp and coin collecting, and traveling with her family. The joy of her life was being Sam’s mom. Maureen and Sam played Wordle and Tradle every day.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her son, Samuel J. Morris, of Dunstable: two stepchildren, James J. Morris, of Seattle, WA, and Michaela S. Morris, of Chicago, IL: one sister, Elizabeth Flynn, of Charlottesville, VA: one brother, Francis P. Flynn, II of Arnold, MD. She leaves many extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury, to be followed by a procession to Dunstable Cemetery, where committal services and interment of her ashes will take place.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Maureen may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in support of the Gynecologic Oncology Research Fund.
