Obituary

SALEM - Estelle R. (Szpak) Kelleher, 93, of Salem, wife of the late Frederick Kelleher, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a short illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Rosalie (Rzesos) Szpak. She was educated in Salem schools, was a parishioner of the St. Thomas The Apostle Church and a lifelong resident of the city.

Prior to her retirement in the mid 1970's, Mrs. Kelleher was employed for over 30 years by GTE Sylvania at the Boston Street, Salem plant.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frederick J. Jr. and Jane Kelleher of Glendale, Arizona, 5 grandchildren, David, Shawn and Shane Davis, Dorothea Banta, Cheryl Lange, 6 great grandchildren, one sister, Genevieve Szpak of Salem, one brother, Matislaw Szpak of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Rosalie Ann Davis and sister of the late Rudolph Szpak, Tadous Spak, Stanley Szpak, Wanda Howarth and Amelia Thomas.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Route 114 on the Salem-Peabody line. Visiting hours are Monday, 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
