Wai Wun Young, Age, 80, passed away on November 23, 2024. Wai lived a full life in Jamaica Plain Massachusetts, alongside his beloved wife, Choy Fong. Wai immigrated from China via Hong Kong in his early 20’s and found a career as a Chef in the greater Boston area . After his retirement, one could find Wai walking through the Arnold Arboretum for his daily exercise. Wai’s enthusiasm and good-nature extended from his love for travel, cooking, gardening, to watching Boston sports teams, as long as he was doing any of these things alongside his family. Wai was beloved by his family and friends for his immense kindness and sense of humor. Wai took great pride in caring for his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Choy Fong; his daughter Joan Chan, her husband Keith Chan and their sons Bailey and Evan; his son Howard Young; his son Henry Young, his wife Celina Young, and their children, Brady, Emmy and Harley; and his youngest daughter Belinda Fernando, her husband Yohan Fernando and their children Aiden and Vivian. Wai also leaves behind treasured nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces. Wai will be remembered for the love he shared and the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him. Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Monday December 2 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday December 3 from 10 am until 12 noon. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
