Raymond M. “Ray” Beard, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, November 25, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Memorial graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Carroll officiating.
Mr. Beard was born July 28, 1957, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Royce Monroe Beard and the late Melba Peacock Beard Chambers. He worked as a shade tree mechanic and also worked in maintenance with Howard Bishop for many years.
He is survived by his sister, Lisa & Greg Carroll of Hayesville. North Carolina; a brother, Clifford Chambers, Jr. of Fitzgerald; and his companion, Rondisu Croft of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Beard.
