Obituary



Elaine P. James (Muzarol) passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, November 23rd at Rosewood Nursing Home of Peabody. She was 94. Raised in Chelsea and Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian (Amburg) Muzarol.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Elaine was an incredible woman. Widowed with nine children, she rose to the occasion and with a sense of purpose, fortified with faith and love gave everything she could to provide for her family. She worked evenings as a clerk at Wausau Insurance for many years. A devout woman, she was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and often said that her faith got her through everything. She treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren as well as her great and great-great grandchildren. Elaine was a kind neighbor and a dear friend to everyone she knew in her Orchard St. neighborhood. For nearly 20 years, she lived in Medford Square, where she frequented all the shops, making friends wherever she went. And she could always be found every week at the hair salon.

The beloved wife of the late Frank A. James III, Elaine was the devoted mother of Sharon Tarentino and her husband Ronald, Sr. of Tewksbury, Susan Brann and her late husband Richard of Malden, Beverly Regan and her late husband Michael of New Hampshire, Lawrence James and his wife Lori of Medford, Pamela Parks of Medford, the late Ellen Leoncello, Frank A. James IV, Kim Dervishian and her late husband Leo, and Michael James. Elaine was loved by her 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren among whom were her deceased grandchildren Kristin James, Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. David Leoncello and great-granddaughter Livia McMahon. Elaine was the sister of the late Claude Muzarol, Robert Muzarol and Rosalie Bradford. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit on Monday, December 2nd at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 3 - 7 PM and again on Tuesday December 3rd at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
