Scott John Galloway, 61, died after a long battle with heart disease and COPD on November 21, 2024. Scott was preceded in death by Arthur “Bud” L. Galloway and Pauline E. (Stacey) Galloway and his brothers Bruce A. Galloway and David R. Galloway.
Born January 3, 1963 Scott was educated in the Lowell Public School system and Northern Essex Community College. Over the years, Scott worked for Berube Siding and Lawrence Plate Glass, but truly found his calling as a paraprofessional working in the Lawrence Public School System. He also loved his summers working at Camp Onway and Lone Tree Scout Reservation. Scott was a dedicated father who spent many years as a scout leader, sharing his love of the outdoors, canoeing, hiking and camping with his children. A voracious reader, he instilled his love for reading to all of his children. Scott was a huge horror fan and indulged in watching classic horror films. Scott was a devoted husband to Sandra, never missing an opportunity to honor his love for her.
Scott leaves behind his best friend and true love of 44 years, his wife Sandra (Berube) Galloway, and is survived by his brother Donald Galloway and his wife Linda of Windham, NH, his four children Crystal (Galloway) Arnott and her husband Andy of Litchfield, NH, James Galloway and his wife Eliana Castro of St. Albans, VT, Nicholas Galloway and his wife Renee Smith of Fall River, MA and Michael Galloway and his wife Krystal of East Waterboro, ME. Scott also leaves behind six grandchildren, Sebastian, Adelaide, Daymien, Kayla, Cierra and Justin, many nieces and nephews who he loved fiercely, and many, many beloved friends.

Calling hours will be held at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA, on November 30, 2024 from 2pm until 4pm. A service will be held at the funeral home at the conclusion of the calling hours at 4pm.. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Scott’s memory to Lowell Humane Society.
