Richard J. Laurito, 66, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles “Chick” Laurito and Rose (DiMente) Laurito Cesino. He had lived in Worcester, MA for 7 years and had previously lived in Johnston and Smithfield.
Rick was known for his love of music and spent most of his career as an On-Air Personality, MC, and professional drummer. His passion for music led him to be an on-air radio host for popular stations, including B101 and 102.3 The Wolf.
He is survived by his daughters: Ashley Robertson and her husband, Michael of North Port, FL and Kimberly Aspeel and her husband, Joshua of Johnston, RI and his grandchildren: Adrianna, Lincoln and Logan.
He is also mourned by his companion, Robin Fiorillo-Licarie of Worcester, MA and her family: Ashley, Joshua and Jameson Borbone, Chelsey Fiorillo and Mike LaTour, Hannah and Casey Sweet, and Aidan Licarie, as well as his former wife, Denise Coffey of Venice, FL.
He was the loving uncle of Rana DeQuattro and her husband Mike, Danielle Laurito and Stefanie Laurito, and was the cherished brother of the late Ronald Laurito and Georgiana Laurito and grandfather of the late Liam Aspeel.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 8:30 from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI (use 2 Church Street, Greenville, RI for GPS) A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30am in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 4th Street, North Providence, RI. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26th from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society and Johnston Public Schools Music Department.
