Shirley Ruth Dickason, 88, of Derry, NH, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born on September 22, 1936, in Portland, ME, a daughter of the late Harold and Lucy (Winters) Blackler.
Shirley had been a resident of Derry for the past 40 years. She worked for RDF Corporation in Hudson for 17 years. Additionally, she worked as a nanny for many years to numerous families. Shirley was a proud member of First Parish Church in East Derry. She loved spending time with her friends, especially visiting with her neighbor’s pets. She enjoyed chatting about how much things have changed and reminiscing on fond memories. Shirley was always a giving person between her crocheting hats for the church to her donations to Wounded Warrior Project and Native American Reservations, she was always looking to help out.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Chase of Derry, NH; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and lots of friends.
A celebration of life with be held on Sunday December 1st at 1:00pm at the First Parish Church, 47 East Derry Road, East Derry, NH. Private burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA.
