Jarrod R. Wells, age 44, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia M. (Pultz) Wells, to whom he was wed on May 19, 2006 and the devoted father of Madylin M. Wells of Norton and Tristan R. Wells of Norton.
Born in Framingham, MA on March 23, 1980, he was a loving son of Jean F. (Widman) Wells of Bellingham and the late Richard L. Wells.
Jarrod grew up in the Town of Bellingham and was a 1998 graduate of Bellingham High School. He continued his education, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Westfield State College.
A resident of Norton for the past eighteen years, Jarrod was a dedicated son, husband and father whose family always came first and whose hearts are broken with the void his sudden death has left them with. Jarrod had also worked as a Web Developer for NASDAQ in Boston and also at Thompson Financial in Boston.
A member of St John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin, Jarrod was as an advocate for children with disabilities. He loved attending concerts and was the number one fan and parrot head of Jimmy Buffett. He was also an avid football fan, served as a former coach for the Norton Black Knights and always whole-heartedly cheered on the New England Patriots. When younger, Jarrod enjoyed family camping trips, traveling and skiing and he’ll always be remembered for his remarkable cooking skills.
In addition to his wife, children and mother, he was the dear brother of Amy Custer and her husband Kevin of Blackstone, Kristen Wells of Nashua, New Hampshire and Michael Wells of Nashua, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 A.M. in St John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street in Franklin. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Jarrod’s family would prefer that donations in his memory and in keeping with his love for family be made to the Wells Children’s Family Fund and mailed to Cynthia Wells, 19 Hawthorne Road, Norton, MA 02766.
