LACONIA ---- Jeanne B. Marchand, 95, of Court Street, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Jeanne was born on May 18, 1929, in Lowell, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph Tremblay and Blanche (LaPlante) Tremblay.
She loved playing cards, daily swims at her camp at Silver LakeĀ in Belmont and at the giant pool in the Davenport community, gardening and entertaining her family. She was known for her outrageously delicious potato bread, as baking was one of her many hobbies. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Belmont and
in Florida. She supported many non-profits and was always ready to help anyone in need.
Jeanne is survived by her son Steven Marchand and his wife Joanne; nieces Paula Malloy and Roberta Marcotte, and her many friends at St. Francis and her dear lifelong Belmont friends, the Lerouxs and the Anackis. In addition to her parents, Jeanne is predeceased by her husband Gendron Marchand, son Mark Marchand and siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH. A luncheon will follow.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
