Obituary

Robert F. "Bob" McKinley, a resident of Northbridge and formerly of North Attleboro, California and Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Milford Hospital in Milford, Massachusetts. He was 58 years of age.

Bob was born in Boston on June 3, 1966, a son of the late Robert A. McKinley and Agnes T. (Walsh) McKinley. He grew up in Charlestown and was educated at the Bunker Hill School, St. Benedicts Parochial School in Somerville and graduated from Pope John High School in Everett in 1984. Bob furthered his education with much determination and graduated from Emmanual College with a Bachelor's Degree. Bob began working for FedEx at a very young age and with his fortitude and great work ethic he rose to become an Executive of the company following 30 years of dedicated employment. He also worked for 2 transportation companies in California. It was truly a success story and accomplishment for Bob, and he was proud of the friendships and support he passed along to his fellow colleagues.

Bob enjoyed all sports but truly enjoyed his Boston Red Sox and watching them at Fenway Park. He enjoyed traveling, reading and visiting a casino. Bob's dedication to his family was insurmountable and he cherished the special moments he spent with his wife and all the very intricate occasions he showed his support to his 3 sons and how very proud he was of each one of their accomplishments in their early lives.

Bob is the loving husband of 25 years to Lisa (Connolly) McKinley. He is the devoted father of Sean McKinley, Alex McKinley and Jason McKinley. He is the beloved brother of Patti Lane and her husband Bob and Jan Nolan and her husband Billy. He is the loving uncle to Nicole, Michael, Allie, Caroline and Lily. He is the dear cousin and best friend to Brian McKinley and Mike Rainone. He is the son-in-law of Ron Connolly and the late Marie (Hynes) Connolly. He is the brother-in-law of Betsy Connolly, Judy McLevey and her husband Pat and Susan Gress and her husband Scott. He is also survived by his beloved dog Rocket and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's visiting hours on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial is private.
