Robert "Bob" Wallace Metcalfe

Robert “Bob” Wallace Metcalfe, 79, of Anderson passed away at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
He was born on May 19, 1945 in Crossville, Tennessee to Dr. Robert M. and Ethel P. (Parks) Metcalfe.
He served in the US Army for three years during the Vietnam War.
He was a service man for the Vectren Gas Company for 36 years and retired in 2007.
He enjoyed working outdoors and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marsha Elaine Metcalfe; three daughters, Laurie, Michelle (Mark) , and Hollie (Kevin); a brother, Tommy; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Jada (Juan), Mitchell, Hope, Mason, Matthew, and Elaine; four great-grandchildren, Juanito, Leo, Collins and Mateo; two nephews, Robert and Tom; two nieces, Arami (Hector) and Amanda.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert “Robby”; and two sisters, Mariann and Linda; father-in-law, Kenton and a brother-in-law, Larry.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. The burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley’s Hospital for Children.
