With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Patrica Ann Gilbert on Wednesday November 13th, 2024. Pat was born on March 7th 1949 in San Bernardino, Ca to parents Marie and Lenord Showalter. Pat attended high school at Colton High School. After high school she met the love of her life Steve while cruising the boulevard. Pat enjoyed being a loyal housewife and mother. Pat has an avid collection of Piglets in her office that she admired while doing her genealogy of the Gilbert family and the Showalter family. She loved to sit in her backyard and take care of her Plumerias that Steve bought her over the years. Her hobbies were crocheting and reading her Stephen King novels. She also loved spending time with friends and family at either the VFW, Moose Lodge, or Elks Lodge all in Ventura where she did some volunteering from time to time.
Patricia is survived by her husband Steven Gilbert of Ventura, daughter Stacey Gilbert (wife Jenna Bernick) of Oxnard, and sister Peggy Bautista of Seal Beach (husband David). She is also survived by grandson Brodee Gilbert of Phoenix, Az, grand-daughters Victoria and Emma Johnson of Montana, grand-daughter Candice Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ, Daughter-in-law (widow) Amanda Ziegler of Nebraska, nephew Paul Fuge of Bullhead City, AZ, nephew David Fuge (son Drake and wife Anne) of San Jose, CA, niece Janelle Bautista, nephew Mariano Bautista (wife Stephanie, son Everett) of Westminster, CA.
She is preceded in death by her son Shawn Gilbert of Ventura, CA, grandson Anthony Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ, parents Lenord and Marie Showalter of Rialto, Ca, and sister Margaret Fuge (husband Ronald) of Rialto, Ca.
Flowers can be sent to Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service on December 6th or 7th for the Gilbert Family.
A viewing will be held from 4pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 7pm December 6th, 2024 at JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. Funeral services will be held December 7th, 2024 at 11am at Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura followed by burial at Carpinteria Cemetery District, 1501 Cravens Ln, Carpinteria. Memorial luncheon to follow at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1679, 3801 Market St, Ventura
