Herolind Flamuraj, 50, of Worcester died on Saturday, November 9th at UMass Memorial Hospital – University Campus. He leaves his two children, Wendy and Henry Flamuraj; a brother, Blendi Flamuraj and his wife, Bedrana; and his parents, Halim and Myhyrije (Xhelezi) all of Worcester. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Brunhilda (Korreshi) Flamuraj.
Born in Lushnje, Albania, Herolind’s journey through life was one marked by hard work, dedication, and a passion for the simple joys of life. Herolind’s early years in Albania shaped his strong work ethic and love for the outdoors. He immigrated to the United States, where he quickly became known for his relentless spirit and drive to succeed. Over the years, Herolind worked in various industries, always putting in the effort to learn new skills and build a future for his family. His greatest accomplishment, however, was the successful establishment and operation of his own construction business, where he earned the respect and admiration of clients, colleagues, and friends. Beyond his work, Herolind was a man who found peace and joy in nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and whether it was the quiet of early mornings spent by the water or the thrill of a day in the woods, he found solace in these activities.
Calling hours are Friday, November 15th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. The family will gather on Saturday, November 16th from 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
